Maranello Signal Ferrari F1

On the sportscar front, there's a meaningful update from Imola ahead of the WEC 6 Hours this weekend. The prologue was already covered (Ferrari swept the top 3, Fuoco to Giovinazzi, wet track, all very tidy), but the eve-of-race mood piece adds texture. Antonello Coletta and the drivers are cautiously optimistic but notably not complacent — the team's own read is that the prologue was fine, but there's still margin on the table. Given that every other hypercar manufacturer will have spent the off-season attacking Ferrari's 2025 titles, that self-awareness is probably the right posture. Home race, defending champions, fastest in the prologue: the pressure is real even when you're the favourite.

Something to pencil in for later this month: Ferrari has a filming day booked at Monza on April 22. The Audi articles flagged it as context (Audi beat them to the Temple of Speed by a few days with their own start-procedure work), but the Ferrari run is confirmed. Filming days are limited to 100 km under promotional-filming rules, so don't expect a performance revelation — but it's a useful chance to collect data on the Monza layout ahead of the Italian GP later in the year, and potentially work on the same launch/start sequences Audi was drilling.

Finally, a minor talent note: Red Bull has hired a technical figure named Landi, previously of Ferrari, as part of Laurent Mekies' broader restructuring of the Milton Keynes technical department. The details are thin but it's the kind of quiet personnel movement worth tracking — Ferrari has historically been a talent exporter to rival teams, and any exit from Maranello's technical staff is worth noting even when the immediate impact seems modest.
